S-SERIES FAQS

What is the difference between the Elite and the S-Series?

With the S2 and S3, we’ve taken the best features of the Elite 1500 and Elite 2500, and combined them with more modern Nexus hardware.
The S-Series gives you these advantages over the Elite range:

  • Supports Dual Drive-by-Wire Throttles
  • Single Channel Onboard Wideband: Expandible to 10 channels via external CAN devices
  • Onboard Wi-Fi using internal antenna: Enables remote monitoring and tuning through NSP and Haltech Connect App
  • USB 2.0 Comms via USB-C: Cable comms speeds up to 40x faster than Elite. Power-up over USB means you can set up your ECU before installing it in your vehicle.
  • Torque Management: Advanced drag racing function enabling pre-defined wheel slip, previously only available on NEXUS R series and Elite 2500T.
  • 128MB Onboard Data-logging.
  • Flexible IO – Unused outputs can be reassigned

If I want to upgrade from an Elite to a Nexus S-Series, will I need to repin my harness?

Yes, you will need to repin the ECU side of your harness. The S-Series has different connectors and more pins.

What is the difference between the R-Series and the S-Series?

The R-Series includes on-board Power Distribution functionality, whereas the S-Series doesn’t.

Will you stop producing the Elite Series?

No, the Elite Series will continue production for the foreseeable future.

Will there be a Nexus version of the Elite 750 and Elite 550?

No, we are not currently developing a Nexus successor for the Elite 750 or 550.
