Ultimate Strength and Appeal
Machined from Grade 5 titanium, these stud kits offer exceptional strength, ensuring they withstand extreme heat and pressure from turbocharged systems. Titanium studs are also significantly lighter than traditional steel fasteners, reducing overall weight without sacrificing performance—ideal for high-performance applications.
Titanium's natural corrosion resistance protects against rust and oxidation, even in the harshest conditions, extending the life of your turbo setup. Titanium maintains integrity at high temperatures, ensuring stable mounting and preventing issues caused by thermal expansion during extreme engine use.
Machined with T40 Torx Profile (Fits E8 Socket), studs are easy to install and remove. In addition, PHR has calculated the perfect length for 1/2"(12mm) Header Flanges, especially on the lower row of GTE heads where the bolt locations sits right beneath a runner, making length paramount.
PHR offers both 12-point and 6-point nut options for optimal compatibility. Since 12-point nuts require a specific socket or wrench, accessing the lower bolt holes on GTE engines can be challenging. To make installation easier, PHR provides a mixed set option with 6-point nuts for better access using an open-ended wrench.
PHR designed the Stud and Nut Kit to be used with a 12mm thick header flange like those featured on PHR's turbo manifolds. Each stud will protrude approximately 28mm (+6mm torx head) from the cylinder head once it is threaded in and 20mm of that will be threaded. Overall length of the stud is 41mm (+6mm torx head). Washer is 3mm thick and is optional. Flanged nut is 10mm tall.
